brainstorm blog 2

For my project, I want to model and color a scream mask in Blender, bringing it to life through captivating animations. My vision includes the mask’s mouth opening to release little ghostly apparitions that float out, adding a playful yet spooky element to the overall aesthetic. This would be done in effect house I believe.

I’m currently brainstorming specific animations and have several ideas. One concept involves making the scream mask appear when a hand is placed over the face, creating an interactive experience that engages viewers. This would allow a way for the mask to appear later without it just immediately snapping to the viewer's face which would allow some video of a face before the mask conceals the identity of the viewer.

To further enhance the scene, I plan to implement a ‘pretty’ filter at the beginning of the animation. This filter could set the mood with soft, shimmering effects that gradually intensify as the mask emerges, creating an eerie atmosphere. The combination of the mask, the ghostly animations, and atmospheric filters will work together to craft a captivating Halloween experience.

Ultimately, my goal is to blend elements of horror, beauty, and sound to capture the essence of Halloween and its emotions. By intertwining these components, I hope to create a piece that resonates with viewers, evoking both thrill and wonder. With creativity and experimentation in Blender, I’m excited to see how this vision unfolds into a compelling visual narrative that highlights the best parts of halloween.
